SplitTrip is designed with a privacy-first approach. The app does not require an account or user registration.
All trips, expenses, participants, balances, and other user-created data are stored locally on your device.
SplitTrip does not collect or store your personal data on its own servers.
If you choose to use the AI Receipt Scan feature, the receipt image you select is securely transmitted to our AI processing service solely to extract expense information from the receipt.
Receipt images are processed only for this purpose and are not used to identify you, create user profiles, or deliver advertising.
The AI Receipt Scan feature is completely optional. You can always add expenses manually without using AI.
SplitTrip offers optional Premium subscriptions that are processed securely through Apple's StoreKit.
We do not receive or store your payment information. All purchases, billing, subscriptions, free trials, and renewals are managed by Apple.
